Jackson takes first step

Today, Jackson has announced his candidacy for the 2044 presidential race.

Jackson, born in May of last year, is thought to be one of the youngest Americans to ever declare his candidacy, along with George W. Bush and John F. Kennedy.  Unlike the former presidents, Jack’s parents are not famous politicians.

Rather, Jackson’s parents are embracing his decision by replacing his upcoming 1st birthday party with a presidential fundraiser.

“We decided to skip the traditional party with cake and presents and instead have opted to focus on the bigger picture- Jack's run for President in 2044. We are asking people to write a check to his campaign instead [of giving presents],” said Jackson's father Mike. Mike later added, “with the cost of elections today, we figured the smart thing to do was to help him get started as early as possible.”

According to Mike, Jackson has also received offers from banking industry executives to “fly him to New York and raise $250,000” for him in 4 hours. Jack declined to comment when asked to confirm his father’s story.
